Heavenly Father, we thank you for the life of Saint John Maria Vianney and his commitment to your service. We ask that through his intercession, all those who devote their lives to serving you as he did may recognize and follow the path of holiness.
We pray in the words of Saint Paul: “Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own” (Philippians 3:12).
As we celebrate his feast today, grant us St. John Maria Vianney's grace to recognize our weaknesses and strive towards perfection with courage and trust in your mercy. Amen.
